About
Platô Filmes is an audiovisual production company based in Boa Vista, Roraima, Brazil. Focused on producing Amazonian content, it has experience with fiction, documentary, and animation film productions with indigenous, environmental, and socio-cultural themes, focused on border and migration issues.
The company has already produced two feature-length documentaries: "Por onde anda Makunaíma?" (2020), which won the Candango for Best Film at the 53rd Brasília Film Festival 2020 and the award for Best Documentary at the 25th Inffinito Brazilian Film Festival - Miami 2021, and the feature "Aqui em La Frontera" (2023), Official Selection at the 12th Mostra Ecofalante de Cinema and Official Selection at the Festival do Rio 2023 - Mostra O Estado das Coisas.
He is currently developing the film Ninho Tinto, his first feature-length fiction film, which was approved for Ancine/BRDE's "New Directors 2022" call for proposals and the Official Selection for the Europe-Latin America Co-production Forum at the 71st San Sebastián Film Festival (2023).
